CRA Reviews -- Regulators Afraid to Regulate

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has published its latest CRA examinations.

This is a departure for MHR. It does not involve manufactured housing. Nonetheless, it does focus on financial institutions and their interactions with low-income families.

About the way that our regulators are not choosing to regulate: It is largely a case of "everyone gets a trophy." This is a new trend in our culture. It can be witnessed in Little League, in school plays, or in a lot of places. It is hard to argue with the idea that everyone needs to be rewarded for "effort" in many instances.

Our financial system is not one of those places.
