Blackhawk Secures a Slew of New Prepaid Contracts

Quietly, Blackhawk Network has been lining up agreements that will have a big impact on how consumers load money on to their prepaid cards.

Earlier in the month, Blackhawk reported that it has reached loading agreements with AccountNow, PreCash, NetSpend, Galileo and Ready Debit.

How Fannie Mae is Abandoning African-American Borrowers in Cleveland

CFPB to Help Students Understand the Risks of College

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says that it will create a standard disclosure form that will make the real cost of college clear to prospective students. The model disclosure is designed to help students gain a sense of the costs of college. It does not break down the costs for individual schools but it does differentiate by the type of school.

Fifth Third Puts a Line of Credit on Their Debit

Fifth Third is rolling out a new checking account card that folds credit and debit into one card. As far as I can tell, the new DUO card represents something entirely new in the history of deposit products.
