House Passes HR 2139

July 11th, 2007

HR 2139 passed the US House of Representatives on June 25th. This bill should increase investment in manufactured housing. The bill lifts a maximum level of investment by any one corporate entitity in the mh market. It was at 10 percent.

Now it goes on to the Senate.

Fannie Mae Affirms its Commitment

Fannie Mae announces that they will continue to be committed to buying mortgages for manufactured housing on the secondary market.

Book Tour Begins

July 11th, 2007

Adam Rust and CRA-NC Executive Director Peter Skillern will kick off their book tour on July 25th. They will sign copies of This is My Home: Challenges and Opportunities of Manufactured Housing at the Internationalist Book Store on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill at 7:00.

The author will be available to sell copies of This is My Home.
