Fleetwood Posts A Loss

July 26th, 2007

Fleetwood reports that it lost 61 cents a share for the quarter and $1.41 a share for the last year.  Most of the loss is attributed not to manufactured housing, though, but instead to its travel trailer division.  In fact, Fleetwood finds that manufactured home sales are still strong in the Southeastern United States.

The declining sales in travel trailers reflect the one-time jump that occurred after FEMA ordered so many units to take care of households affected by Katrina in 2006.
